Stoic
There has always been a disconnect between reality and my mind, paranoid hysteria is the only truth I find.
I never wanted to live like this, I never wanted to sink so low. We’ll tear the house down before we even know it’s burning.
There can never be a peace between us because you’ll always know a side of me I promised myself that I’d never show. You never wanted to live this life, you never told me anything true. We hit the ground before we even knew we’re falling.
There’s a small amount of satisfaction, but it’s not guaranteed. There’s trace amounts of selflessness, but mostly you’ll find greed. It’s not a common occurrence to see us do any good. The time we’ve wasted hating ourselves takes up more than it should.
I never thought it would end like this, I never thought we would sink so low. The damage we’ve inflicted is much more than we’ll ever know.
